Nina M. Barbosa Blad

Nina is a producer and CEO of Barbosa Film, she graduated from The Norwegian film school in 2014. She’s produced 14 short films, won two Amanda’s for Best short film, her latest screened at Semaine de la Critique. Nina produced the series “Nudes” with NRK. Nina is a fierce producer that focuses on talent development, diversity and has high ambitions.

Liv J. Barbosa Blad

Liv is a writer, director and co-owner of Barbosa Film. Her short film “My sister” won an Amanda award for best short in 2017. She co-directed and wrote the series “Nudes” produced by NRK and Barbosa Film. “Nudes” was the first non-English speaking series on BBC Three. The series won two Gullruten Awards in 2020. Liv is currently developing her first feature film at Barbosa Film. Liv strives to tell stories that are relevant, political and personal.

Johanna Pyykkö

Johanna has directed and written the shorts "My Sister Dances" and "The Manila Lover" produced by Barbosa Film. The latest won The Norwegian Amanda Academy Award. Pyykkö’s been a writer on several series and also worked as episode director. Her debut feature "Ebba" is now in pre-production with Oslo Pictures and was part of TIFF Filmmaker Lab in Toronto & Semaine de la Critique’s “Next Step Lab”.

Erika Calmeyer

Erika graduated from the Norwegian Film School in 2014. She gained a lot of recognition for her graduation film “Lea”. Erika has directed the short film “Weight of Spring” at Barbosa Film, the film has had great success at festivals. Erika also co-wrote and directed “Nudes” at Barbosa Film in 2019. Erika is currently working on her first feature film, “Storm” at Paradox.

Jenny Heradstveit

At Barbosa Film, I got the opportunity to make a short film - “Kuksvanen” or “The Cock-Swan” - together with Anna Ladegaard. It was wonderfully challenging and very inspiring! I later also made a commissioned film about young sexuIal health for OsloMet with Lotte Sandbu and Jørgen Klüver. I am now working on new projects and maybe I get the chance to work with Barbosa Film – Liv and Nina – again. I really hope so!

Ernst De Geer

Ernst directed the short film “Wimbledon” for Barbosa Film. He’s also directed the short film “Kulturen”, which was nominated for the Amanda award in 2019. De Geer is currently in production of his first TV-series “Nach” for Dplay.

Wenche Luther

Wenche has studied television production in London in 2011/2012, and graduated from Westerdals in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in film and television. Since then she has worked mainly as a caster, coordinator and costume designer on various films, commercials and TV-series. At the moment she is the showrunner developing the dramady “Someones” at Barbosa Film.

Jørgen Færøy Flasnes

Jørgen graduated as a screenwriter from The Norwegian Film School in 2016 with the exam film Generation mars. He has worked with Barbosa Film on several projects, including as a writer on the short film “My Sister Dances” and as an episodes writer on the series “Nudes”. He’s currently writing on his feature debut “Ebba” along with director Johanna Pyykkö produced by Ape&Bjørn. At Barbosa Film he’s developing the sci-fi-series “September”.

Haddi Samba

Haddi Samba directed the short film “Fucking Norway” at Barbosa Film in 2019 and is currently developing the feature film. She works as a freelancer in the film and TV industry in Oslo, and has recently worked with screenwriting and directing on various prosjects at NRK (The Norwegian Brodcaster).

Adel Khan Farooq

Adel Khan Farooq is a writer, journalist and filmmaker engaged in social issues related to identity, belonging and upbringing. He made his debut as a filmmaker with the documentary “The Norwegian Islamist”, which has screened at film festivals around the world. He has also made several short films, and is currently making his feature film debut. He is developing his second feature film, “Oslo” with Barbosa Film.

Sofia Haugan

Sofia worked in radio before she studied film at NISS. Sofia made her cinema debut with the documentary “My Heart Belongs to Daddy” which won an Amanda for best documentary, the audience award during Nordic/Docs and honorable mention during the Gothenburg Film Festival. Sofia is now developing the hybrid film "New Human" in collaboration with Magnus T. Bøhn and Barbosa Film.
